Electrodeposition of Cu on PEDOT for a Hybrid Solid-State Electronic Device

Conductive polymers are nowadays attracting great attention for their peculiar mechanical, electrical and optical proprieties. In particular, PEDOT can be used in a wide range of innovative applications, from electroluminescent devices to photovoltaics. this work, the electrochemical deposition 3,4 ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) was performed on various substrates (ITO, thin films gold palladium silicon wafers) by means both potentiostatic potentiodynamic techniques. This intended further expand applications electrochemically deposited PEDOT, particularly regarding preparation tight contact with electrode surfaces. allows one obtain systems prone as electrodes stacked devices. Chronoamperometric experiments were study nucleation growth process PEDOT. SEM, ESEM AFM analysis allowed characterization morphology polymeric obtained. Raman visible spectroscopy confirmed high-quality coatings different substrates. Then, base material electrodeposition copper layer. way, hybrid electronic device obtained, using methods only. The high conductivity ohmic behavior over frequencies impedance analysis.
